On June 9, 1864, William F. Harris, Liberty County, gave to Hansford Andrews, also of Liberty County, in trust for his children Caroline Amelia Harris, Clara Ophelia Harris, Marion Eugenia Harris, Hansford Asbury Harris and Mary Jane Harris “a certain negro woman slave named Miley and her four children, Bryant, George, William, and Lawrence, together with all the issue and increase of the said woman slave Miley. The said William F. Harris reserving to himself the right to keep in his possession and work the said slaves for the support of the children above named.The said property to remain undivided until the youngest child arrives at the age of twenty one years.” Witnessed by ?.W.
