Enslaved People Named: Billy, Phillis, Mary Jane, Simon, Susan

 “Savannah Ga. May 25th 1863. Received from Dr. J.W. Farmer five thousand two hundred dollars in full for purchase of five negro slaves named Billy about 26 yrs old Phillis about 31 yrs Mary Jane about seven yrs Simon about 3 yrs & Susan about 1 yrs old all warranted sound except Phillis who is defective in her right hand and hereby delivered the right & title to said Slaves…” [Signed by] E.M. Blount. Witnessed by John Girardeau, Notary Public. Recorded on July 10, 1863, by S.A. Fraser, Clerk.
