Enslaved People Named: Quamner, Doll, Lydia, Daniel, Davy, Charles, Sandy, Sam

Joseph E. Way, Liberty County, used as collateral for a debt of $2319.10 to Charlton Hines, Liberty County on 21 March 1861, “the following property to wit: Quamner, a negro fellow aged 38 years, one negro woman, Doll, aged 30 years, one Negro woman, Lydia, aged about twenty three years, three negro boys, Daniel, Davy & Charles, ages ranging from four to ten years, upon the above named six negroes, there is a mortgage lien for about six hundred and ninety five dollars, in favor of Est. John Lambert, I also bargain and sell to said Charlton Hines the following slaves to wit: Sandy aged about twenty one years, Sam aged about twenty seven years.” Witnessed by Joseph Way, Jesse Brewer, C.S.C.L.C. Recorded on 15 May 1861 by Jesse Brewer, Clerk.
