John W. Farmer, Liberty County, used as collateral on 1 April 1861 in a debt of $433 to Charlton Hines, guardian of the minors of N.J. Way, also of Liberty County “the following property, to wit: “Two negro boys, one named Clark about fifteen years of age, the other Riley, about thirteen years old.” Witnessed by John W. Watts, Wm. P. Girardeau, Not. Pub. Recorded on  15 May 1861 by Jesse Brewer, Clerk. [Marked on the document: “Satisfied in full ?? to this 22d Jany 1863. C. Hines Guar. Entered this 23d Jany 1863. S.A.
