Enslaved Persons Named: Patrick, Daniel, Bob, George, Billy, William, Lindy, Betsey, Elizabeth, Mary, Chloe, Adaline, Brister, Hannah, Sandy, Louisa, Eddy, Corrinne, Susan, Isaac, Bellinger, Rosena, Peter and Eliza.

“Received February 3, 1860, from Captain Peter W. Fleming his bond and mortgage for twelve thousand and five hundred dollars in full payment for the following property sold to him this day: – viz – A tract of land, called Wayland, containing four hundred acres, more or less, and the following negro slaves: Patrick, Daniel, Bob, George, Billy, William, Lindy, Betsey, Elizabeth, Mary, Chloe, Adaline, Brister, Hannah, Sandy, Louisa, Eddy, Corrinne, Susan, Isaac, Bellinger, Rosena, Peter and Eliza. Said Wayland Tract, bounded north by lands of Mrs. Sarah M. Quarterman, and Public Road leading to Riceboro, West by lands of W.Q. Baker and Dr. S. Way, east by lands of Dr. S. Way, and south by lands of Estate John S. Fleming.” [Signed] Jno. [John] S. Mallard.
