Liberty County Will – William Samuel Baker

State of Georgia, County of Liberty } I, William Samuel Baker of the State and County above written being of sound mind and memory tho frail in body, do make my last will and testament, as follows.

To my nephew William Joseph Mallard I give and bequeath one hundred $100.00 dollars and my half of the house & lot in Dorchester to him and his heirs.

To my nephew William Samuel Mallard I give and bequeath my five original shares of Savannah Albany & Gulph [sic, Gulf] Rail Road Stock together with the dividens that may have accrued in money or stock to him and his heirs.

To my sister Rebeca [alt: Rebecca] Louisa Mallard I give and bequeath my carriage & carriage horses to her & her heirs.

To my sister in law Sarah M. Quarterman I give and bequeath my man Dublin and his carpenter tools to her and her heirs.

To my brother Thomas Samuel Mallard I give and bequeath my gold watch to him & his heirs.

To my niece Mary Elizabeth Baker & my brothers and sisters Mary Emeline, Thomas SamuelCyrus Stevens’ children & their mother, Lazarus John, Harriet Newell, Rebeca Louisa, Ann Eliza and Robert Quarterman, I give and bequeath the remainder of my estate both real & personal to be equally divided between them share and share alike, to them and their heirs.

I make ordain constitute and appoint my brothers Thomas Samuel Mallard, Lazarus John Mallard, and Revd. Robert Quarterman Mallard executors of this my last will and testament ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my true last will and testament.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this third (3rd) ay of July in the year of our Lord one thousand ight hundred and sixty two (1862).
