State of Georgia, Liberty County } In the name of God, Amen. I Numan Bradley, of said State and County, being of advanced age, but of sound and disposing mind and memory, knowing that I must shortly depart this life, deem it right and proper, both as respects my family and myself, that I should make a disposition of the property with which a kind Providence has blessed me, I do therefore make this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking and annulling all other by me heretofore made.
First – I desire and direct that all my just debts be paid without delay, by my Executors hereinafter named and appointed.
Second – I give bequeath and devise to my beloved wife Nancy the negro woman Margaret, her three children & future issue, said negro woman was given to my said wife Nancy by her father at the time of our marriage, also the bedstead, mattress and bed clothes and side saddle that she brought with her. I also give and bequeath to my said wife in lieu of her dower and year’s support one hundred and fifty dollars in cash, one hundred pounds of bacon and twenty five bushels corn, this is all I desire to be given her as she has been amply provided for in our marriage settlement dated the 20th day of August 1854 and recorded in the clerk’s office of the Papers found in Book O. folio 48.
Third – I give bequeath and devise to my daughters Georgia and Mary S. Bradley my house and lot and all my lands in said County share and share alike, to them and their heirs forever.
Fourth – I give and bequeath to my Daughters Aliph T. McMichael, Georgia and Mary S. one bed and bedding each to them and their heirs forever.
Fifth – I give and bequeath to my daughter Sarah Coleman four hundred dollars in lieu of her share of my landed estate and one negro fellow named Dick whom I loaned to her after her marriage, his value to be deducted from the distributive share of my Estate.
Sixth – I give and bequeath to my daughter Amanda Hendry four hundred dollars in lieu of her share of my landed estate and a negro woman named Jane, her child & future issue whom I loaned to her after her marriage, their value to be deducted from her distributive share of my estate.
Seventh – I give and bequeath to my daughter Alethea Hendry four hundred dollars in lieu of her share of my landed estate and also two boys Lewis and ? Tim? whom I loaned to her after her marriage, their value to be deducted from her distributive share of my estate.
Eighth – All the rest and residue of my property both real and personal, wherever and whatever it may be, I give devise and bequeath to my daughters Sarah Coleman, Amanda Hendry, Georgia Bradley, Alethia Hendry, Aliph T. McMichael and Mary S. Bradley to them and their heirs forever share and share alike.
Ninth – I do hereby constitute and appoint my friends Simon A. Fraser, Dr. A. B. Daniel and my son in law L. B. Hendry Executors of this my Last Will and Testament.
