Will Summary (published 1964)
William Way of Liberty County, planter. Last Will and Testament dated December 27, 1806; probated March 7, 1808. Gives to his wife Drusilla and his four children by her, certain property; to daughter, Elizabeth Baker, certain land and slaves; to son, William James Way, land and slaves; to daughter, Susannah Sarah Way, land and slaves. He directs that the part of his estate he received by the will of his mother, Mrs. Ann Way, be disposed of as therein provided. Executors: Wife, Drusilla, friends John S. Quarterman, William Norman Way and Charlton Hines. Witnesses: William Baker, John O. Baker, Alexander Forrester.

To wife Drusilla Way: “the following Negroe slaves named Isaac, Rachel and her two children, Tenah and Will, Sam and Maria, with the issue and increase of the females to her, her heirs and assigns forever.”
To daughter Elizabeth Baker: “….also the following Negroes, Old Delia, her son Adam, Judith, Julia [or Juba] and her children Jim, Delia and Will, with the issue, increase of the females, to her and the heirs of her body forever.”
To son William James Way: “…also the following Negroes Dublin and ?? Roxanna ?? with the issue and increase of the female to him and his heirs and assigns forever.”
To daughter Susannah Sarah Way: “…also the following Negro Slaves named Billy and Sophia, with the issue and increase of the female slave to her, her heirs and assigns forever.”
