Liberty County Will — Isaac Cuthbert

Will Summary (published 1964)

James [sic, will says Isaac] Cuthbert of Sunbury. Last Will and Testament dated May 5, 1809; probated January 7, 1811. Gives to son, Lachlan Alexander J. Cuthbert, certain slaves and town lots 89 and 90 in Sunbury and all his other real estate. If he the said son, die without issue, then to his two nephews, Alfred and John Cuthbert. Executors: Friend, Charles Harris of Savannah, and said Alfred and John Cuthbert. Witnesses: James Holmes, Samuel S. Law, Adam Alexander.

To son Lachlan Alexander J. Cuthbert: “the following named seven Negroes, viz. ? Tora ?, Jesse & his wife Sapho [alt: Sappho]; Halbrook [or Dalbrook] and his wife Molly; Mary and Chloe, together with the future issue of the females.” [If Lachlan should die without issue, the slaves were to go to nephews Alfred and John Cuthbert.]
