Will Summary (published 1964)
Sarah Ann Austin of Liberty County. Last Will and Testament dated December 17, 1806; probated March 7, 1808. Devises to her son Claborn Lewis Austin, 13 head of slaves, to be held by his father Joseph Austin (who is her husband) until the said son is 21; and if he dies before he is 21, then the father to have the slaves until his death, then same to return to “the heirs of my father, James Pritchard, Esq., deceased.” Witnesses: Samuel Lewis, Sally Lewis.
