Ann Way of Liberty County. Last Will and Testament dated July 25, 1792; probated October 8, 1792. Gives to her grandchildren, Audley Maxwell, Rebecca Couper and Joseph Maxwell, Ann Way, John Way, William Elliott; and to sons William and Joseph Way. Executors: William and Joseph Way, sons. Witnesses: Lathorp Holmes, Matthew Bowen, James Girardeau. Probated on testimony of Girardeau.

Slave names left out of the original summary:

To granddaughter Ann Way: “one fourth part of the remaining sum including one Negroe girl by name Rose as part of the fourth, to her and her heirs forever as a legacy to be paid her within the term of three years by my Executor…”
