On June 18, 1834, at Savannah, Beecroft Penney, Bryan County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $1933,32 to Arthur G. Miller “the following negro slaves, viz Jack, Sandy, Andrew, Boatswain, Bachus, Lewis, Charles, Hannah, Ruth and Tamar.” Witnessed by James S. Wilkins. Recorded in Bryan County Superior Court on December 31, 1834.
