Bryan County Marriage Contract (Harper/Bennet)

On March 13, 1832, Charles Harper, Bryan County, and Eliza Bennet, widow of Bryan County, entered into a marriage contract, with Elias Perry, also of Bryan County, as her trustee. She put into the trust “all the estate both real and personal which she now possesses or may hereafter possess.” The trust was to be used for her benefit during her lifetime, and after her death to any surviving children. Recorded in Bryan County Superior Court on July 10, 1832.
